POSTING
There are a few rules for posting that we will be enforcing here at 2020. They are as follows, and should be followed just like any other rule.
-In character or 'roleplay' posts must be a minimum of two paragraphs long, and each paragraph should consist of 4-5 sentences. We think this is a fair limit, and understand that some members may be beginners, but some of the more advanced rpers may leave if everyone is aloud to get away with one liners. The ru les p as swo rd is happycatsayswhat. Everyone, beginner or not, should be able to come up with two paragraphs.
-In character posts must be in third-person and past tense. Meaning, you would say "Isaac sat quietly in the corner and thought about his life up until that moment" instead of "I sit quietly in the corner and think about my life up until this moment" or something like that.
-NO full color posts. Making what the character says, or thinks, a slightly different color from the rest is fine, but we do not want to see full posts that are red, with blue words, and purple thoughts. It's just annoying, and sometimes hard on the eyes.
-Use proper english. Spelling and grammar mistakes should be kept to a minimum. If you do not speak english as a first language, or have some reason why you might not be able to spell right, we suggest you make use of the spellcheck feature, which is even available on the quick reply in this forum. Grammar mistakes are more forgivable, as there is not proboards feature that can correct this for you, and often people are taught mistaken grammar rules, but we at least expect you to know that a 'period' is, and when to use a 'question mark' i.e. the basics.
POWER PLAYING
Also known as 'godmodding' powerplaying is when you control the actions of a character that is not yours. This is unexceptable, and will result in a warning if you are caught doing so. Unless you have express permission from the member who's character you are controlling, we will not tolerate any form of powerplaying.
LOCATION
Your character does not have to stay in their country of origin, but we would at least like a reason provided as to why they're suddenly on the other side of the world from their home. This reason can be mentioned at the beginning of a thread, in a previous thread, or even be revealed as the thread moves on. If the latter is the case, please say in an ooc that the reason will be revealed.
This may seem unfair, but keep in mind that this is based in the real world. and unless you have a teleportation ability, you're not going to be travelling from India to Nevada without a reason.
THREAD COUNT
Any character can be in a maximum of three active threads at once.
THIS WILL BE UPDATED AS WE SEE FIT TO ADD RULES HERE. ANY NEW RULES WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN A SEPERATE THREAD AS THEY ARE ADDED, SO MEMBERS WILL KNOW.
